2. Your proposed replacement, in your own words
3. An inspectable publisher, broadcaster, library, awarding-body or first-party source
4. The source publication date and date checked
5. Any other book, programme, edition or language page affected

How it is handled

1. The editor checks the cited record and its date.
2. Changed recollections and conflicting editions are recorded, not silently blended.
3. Accepted corrections identify the page, old claim, replacement, evidence and date in the public change log.
4. Private correspondence and personal data are not published.
